Japan’s wild Tokyo Auto Salon may have been a few months ago now, but there’s a few cars which we really can’t take our minds off.
Firstly, there’s the bonkers duo of Nissan Leafs from tuner Obayashi Factory. Far from standard, the silver of the pair with its ridiculous scissor door system won the Eco Car of the Show award. Not to everyone’s tastes for sure, but it’s just really cool to see some modified EVs surfacing as their popularity increases at all times.
Our pick of the pair had to be the sumptuous lime green offering with what appeared to be RWB-esque wide arches. Seeing what has to be the modification of the year on this particular car gave us a real sense of excitement as we saw tuners treating Leafs on an equal playing field as all other cars. And this is a very good sign indeed for the future!
Elsewhere, Studie, Japan’s biggest BMW tuner, hinted that it was a forward-thinking bunch by displaying its classy looking i8 with a fresh set of BBS split rims to add even more ‘want’ to the already stunning supercar.
