Meet the new Renault 4 E-Tech 100% Electric, officially presented today at the Paris Motor Show 2024. This model is a reflection of Renault’s plan to accelerate the energy shift, simultaneously paying homage to the original Renault 4 and offering a glimpse into future of automotive design.
Reimagining Iconic Design Elements
The front grille, a unique single-piece illuminated piece, is the first to capture attention. Continuing the tradition with modern sensibilities, the rear sports a refreshed version of the original’s iconic three-part lights. The design also incorporates details reminiscent of the original Renault 4, from bonnet lines to the iconic roof bars.
A Tailored Interior Experience
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric introduces an electric canvas roof plein sudTM, which brings an open-air feel to the cabin. An 80×92 cm skyline view is now available at the touch of a button or voice command, providing an immersive experience for all passengers.
A Palette Inspired by History
The model offers a new colour, Hauts-de-France Green, as a tribute to the Île-de-France Blue of the 1960s. This range also includes six other colours, ensuring there is a Renault 4 E-Tech for every preference.
A Glimpse into the Future
The latest Renault 4 E-Tech, larger than the Renault 5 and housing an impressive interior space, introduces modern features like the dual horizontal screens, the virtual travelling companion – Reno, and an increased boot space of 420 litres enhanced with ingenious storage solutions.
Embracing Efficiency and Performance
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric offers two powertrains, both equipped with a heat pump to maximise performance. The 52 kWh battery powers a 150 hp motor that accelerates the Renault 4 E-Tech from 0-62mph in less than 8.5 seconds. A 40 kWh battery option is also available, promising a range of up to 186 miles*.
Advanced Safety Features
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric will feature the new One Pedal function that optimises regenerative braking, offering the smoothest possible deceleration. Also included are advanced driving aids for safety and convenience, like rear occupant safe exit alert, active driver assist, blind spot monitoring, and hands-free parking.
Section 8: A Sustainable Production Experience
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric is built at Maubeuge, in the ElectriCity complex, with major components such as the electric motor made in Cléon and the battery assembled in Ruitz. About 26.4% of all materials come from the circular economy, reinforcing Renault’s sustainability commitments.
