Peugeot has announced the launch of its new all-electric E-5008, a seven-seater SUV claiming up to 660 miles of electric range. With a focus on design, interior comfort, and electric performance, Peugeot hopes to raise the bar within the burgeoning electric SUV market.
Electric Performance
Offering a range of up to 660 miles, the E-5008 features a 400V Lithium-ion high-voltage battery and three electric motor options boasting up to 320hp. Featuring a charge time of 20% to 80% in 30 minutes, the model claims to be one of the fastest-charging electric SUVs. Two trims, Allure and GT, allow consumers to choose the level of sophistication they desire. However, the veracity of range claims and charging times often prove contentious in the EV market, it would be worth keeping an eye on real-world results.
The E-5008 provides an impressive 410 miles of range, ensuring long journeys without the need for frequent stops. If that’s not enough, the vehicle will also be available in petrol hybrid form, giving you even more options for power and efficiency.
Designed with a seven-seat configuration, the new Peugeot E-5008 is being hailed as the only model in its segment offering 100% electric mobility for all passengers. Its appealing design includes LED lights as a standard feature, with advanced Pixel LEDs available on the top-spec GT trim.
What lies beneath the stylish exterior of the E-5008 is equally fascinating. It is built on the Stellantis STLA-M platform and comes with three different electric powertrain options. These powertrains boast an impressive range of 311 miles to 410 miles depending on the chosen model.
Inside, passengers are treated to a spacious and comfortable environment including a giant 21in ‘Panoramic i-Cockpit’ display. This state-of-the-art infotainment system comes with built-in Chat GPT and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
With orders opening later this year, the new 5008 will be available with an 8-year/100,000 warranty.
