A versatile electric vehicle from the iconic Fiat, the highly-anticipated Big Panda promises a lot for less than £22k. Plus, two new production models are on the way.

Fiat Marks 125 Years with the Advent of the Big Panda
The Fiat Corporation, a pioneer in the car industry, celebrates its 125th birthday in style – by announcing the imminent release of the much-anticipated Grande Panda. The Grande Panda is the flagship model of an exciting new line-up, which includes the innovative Panda fastback and the MegaPanda, a sport utility vehicle (SUV). Both models are currently under development and slated for production very soon.
The standard BigPanda, in its all-electric format, will cost less than £22,000, making electric mobility more accessible and affordable. Furthermore, a mild hybrid variant of the Big Panda will also be available that dips below the £20,000 mark.

Powering the Future: The Grande Panda
Equipped with a 44kWh battery and an 83kW motor, the fully electric model of the BigPanda is anticipated to deliver up to 195 miles on a single charge. The BigPanda also boasts of an industry-first integrated charging cable, capable of up to 7kW AC power delivery.
The mild hybrid variant of the BigPanda is designed for fuel efficiency. It features a similar set-up to the Citroen C3, a 99bhp 1.2-litre engine in combination with a compact electric motor.

The Allure of the Big Panda
The Big Panda is designed for modern aesthetics while retaining the iconic ’80s boxy shape. It is a compact car, but it doesn’t skimp on features. Highlights include rear privacy glass, daytime running lights, and eye-catching 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Internally, the Big Panda combines function and style. It features a 10in driver display and a 10.25in central display, along with design homages to Fiat’s Lingotto factory. Practicality meets modernity with a sizeable 361 litres of luggage capacity.

More Exciting Developments
In addition to the Big Panda, Fiat also took the opportunity to exhibit new images of its fastback and SUV concepts, both now confirmed for production.
Though the fastback concept remains unnamed and details are scarce, it has been confirmed that it will be based on the Panda. The SUV variant, currently known as the Giga-Panda, will feature seven seats, significantly expanding the Panda family.
With the Big Panda and other forthcoming models, Fiat is once again set to capture the imagination of drivers across the UK. Stay tuned to EV Performance for the latest developments and updates on all things electric.
