Strap in, folks! The iconic MINI family’s newest all-electric models are here to elevate your driving thrill to a whole new level. Trust us, it’s more than just about performance – it’s about experiencing unique soundscapes that truly bring these majestic machines to life.
Sounds that Enhance Your Drive
“What’s the fuss about sounds?”, you may ask. Oliver Heilmer, Head of MINI Design, sums it up beautifully: “The new sounds are an integral part of the digital experience and individually tailored to the character of each of the new models. They make an emotive appeal to the passengers in the interior while shaping the acoustic perception to the outside world.”
For the first time, these sound worlds can be experienced in the new MINI Cooper Electric. From brand distinctive driving sounds to jingles for new MINI Experience Modes and unique sound icons for information and warning functions, the electric MINI family aims to create a richer, more immersive experience than ever before!
The Brand-New MINI Sound DNA
Generously infused with the brand’s core values, the MINI sound DNA exudes an irresistibly positive and charismatic aura. The completely new sound worlds are created through a harmonious blend of analogue instruments, state-of-the-art digital technology, and artificial intelligence. So, whether you’re zipping around town or cruising the open road, these sounds are there to keep you engaged, informed and emotionally connected to your ride.
The MINI Experience Modes – “Core“, “Go Kart“, “Timeless“, and “Balance” – are each paired with curated driving sounds to deliver an individual user experience as unique as every MINI driver!
Four Unique Driving Experiences
The “Core” driving sound is your default companion. It is inspired by Nicolaus Copernicus and the OLED central display’s round shape, metaphorically radiating warmth like the sun.
Then, there’s the “Go Kart” sound world, designed to provide an agile and dynamic driving backdrop for those who crave a sporty driving experience.
The “Timeless” driving sound is a stunning amalgamation of tradition and progress – crafted from the engine sounds of classic Minis combined with a futuristic interpretation of the “Core” driving sound.
Finally, the “Balance” driving sound, initially designed for the MINI Vision Urbanaut, evokes relaxation and well-being, likening the experience to being amidst the tranquil sounds of a forest.
Signature Jingles and Earcons
MINI’s entirely new sound worlds even extend to the instantly recognisable jingles that announce the activation of the Experience Modes, and the earcons. These are much more than mere audible symbols – each of their different sound characteristics and intensities reflect the brand’s commitment to the user’s safety, simultaneously enhancing the fun and authenticity of the driving experience.
So, buckle up, performance car enthusiasts! The future of driving is not only about speed and horsepower – it’s about creating an engaging, personalised and ultimately fun driving experience. It’s about the sound of progress, exploration and joy – all packed into the new all-electric MINI family.
