Tesla software update features self-drive capabilites

-

Some massive news from California this evening, as Elon Musk has announced that Tesla Model S cars will now benefit from autonomous driving capabilities in the newly available software update.

Applicable to Model S cars, both new and old, the software update uses technology already present in the car’s computers, along with a suite of sensors, to guide the car along itself on motorways and when parking. This will be the first line of cars in the real world to feature such technologies.

“We think of it sort of as a public beta,” Musk explains during this evening’s press conference. “I think it is going to be quite a profound experience for people when they use it.”

Remember this day in your diaries, ladies and gentlemen, as this is the start of the future!
