If Elon Musk is single-handedly trying to create the most enjoyable, refreshing cars money can buy, it’s certainly working.
With the announcement of the music streaming service Rdio going bust (the software that Teslas used to use) comes this: a free Spotify Premium subscription for all new and used Teslas.
This means that 30 million songs are instantly at the disposal of any Tesla owners’ fingertips, and the firm will even pay for all the data usages of streaming your fave tunes. Your 6-CD changer in the boot never looked so obsolete, did it?
As with everything nowadays, there’s a bit of smallprint to deal with. The update won’t yet be available to US customers, and the free Spotify account can’t be carried over to accounts in your home or on your phone.
But all in all, another fantastic gesture from forward-thinking Musk, whom by breaking down the driving experience is causing a lot of red faces from the other car giants.
