Rimac Automobili has recently showcased a new hero in the electric vehicle (EV) sphere, the Nevera R. Famed for its relentless pursuit of innovation, Rimac has built upon its already-impressive Nevera GT, delivering an even more potent, performance-focused package designed for sublime cornering and mind-blowing acceleration.

Redefining Performance: Rimac’s Nevera R
Branded as the more aggressive sibling to the previous Nevera, the R model has been engineered to cater to the would-be racers looking for a high-performance EV with a hefty 2,107hp. Aided by an advanced torque vectoring system and high-performance brakes, this latest Rimac creation hits a staggering 186mph within 8.66 seconds – yes that is fast!
Under the Bonnet: Inside the Nevera R
One of the most striking aspects of the Nevera R is its power system. The vehicle is built around a next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack that not only delivers impressive range but also enables it to reach its top speed of 256mph. The considerable battery performance, combined with 2,107hp, means that the Nevera R accelerates even faster than its predecessor.
Further boosted by advanced brakes made of carbon ceramic with a silicone matrix layer, the Nevera R assures improved stopping performance, cooling, and durability even during intense usage.
The Look of the Nevera R: A Design Focused on Performance
A new aesthetic shape complements the Nevera R’s more aggressive performance. It showcases a harmonious balance of body colour and carbon fibre, giving it a dynamic, sleek profile. The 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels, coupled with a larger fixed rear wing and aggressive aero package, enhance the vehicle’s aerodynamics, resulting in a 15% improvement in downforce.
A Perfect Balance of Power and Control
The Nevera R is not just about raw power. A re-tuned All-Wheel Torque Vectoring (R-AWTV) system, coupled with a revised traction control system, ensures predictability in various conditions. As a result, the Nevera R offers unparalleled driving excitement, especially on twisty B roads and during occasional track use.
Rimac’s Nevera R, with its monstrous horsepower and superior handling, has set the bar high in the EV hypercar segment. However, its limited production run of 40 units may make it a rare sight. Undoubtedly, it’s a clear example of Rimac’s relentless determination to redefine the EV sector.
