Potential hybrid-powered Veyron successor spotted

-

Ask anyone who has a vague knowledge of cars what their dream vehicle would be and the answer is almost unanimous. “A Bugatti Veyron, of course” is the default response you’re most likely to hear.

So any news of the now-ten-year-old hypercar’s replacement is understandably received with feverish interest by the car community, with today being no exception.

This rather blurry spy shot, handed over to Dutch website Autoblog.nl by a randomer recently, seems to depict more information about the front end of the new car, set to be christened the Bugatti Chiron.

Pretty it may be, but what’s more interesting to us is the almost certainty that the car will use a hybrid-style powertrain to assist in its mind-bending performance capabilities. With cars like the Porsche 918 benefiting so much from a bit of electricity, Bugatti would be mad not to.
