In collaboration with Plugsurfing, introduces ‘Polestar Charge’: the new standard in public EV charging. Offering Polestar drivers unrestricted access to the largest charging networks in Europe.

A New Chapter in EV Charging: Introducing Polestar Charge

Polestar, in collaboration with Plugsurfing, has unveiled a groundbreaking public charging service in Europe named ‘Polestar Charge’. This move will grant access to over 650,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points to Polestar drivers, making it the largest such network available in Europe. This list includes popular networks such as Supercharger, IONITY, Recharge, Total, Fastned, and Allego all integrated under a single service.

Subscription Plan: More for Less

Focusing on flexibility, Polestar Charge also offers an optional monthly subscription at £11.99, which enables users to enjoy a 30% discount on more than 28,000 selected charging points. This gives an even more value-driven approach to EV charging.

Polestar: First OEM to Leverage Tesla Supercharger Network

Polestar is pioneering new paths in the EV industry by becoming the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in Europe to integrate the Tesla Supercharger network into its own charging app, Polestar Charge. This move comes after Polestar’s decision last year to incorporate Tesla’s NACS charging standard for Polestar drivers in North America, and simultaneously in China, where Polestar owners now have access to the Tesla Supercharger network in over 200 cities.

Polestar Champions User Convenience

“An integral part of owning an electric car is hassle-free charging. Our new solution not only ensures access to the largest networks across Europe but also some integration in Google Maps. This makes it incredibly easy for Polestar drivers to plan their charging instead of worrying about their next charging point,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO.

Simplified Charging with Polestar Charge

Polestar Charge aims to simplify the public charging process by negating the need for multiple subscriptions, apps, authentication methods, or charging tags. With a single solution, Polestar drivers now have a streamlined process for locating, accessing, and paying for public charging. This is combined with the EV optimisation feature within Google Maps, which assists in planning optimal charging stops along a route and activates a battery pre-conditioning function for quicker charging times.

The Polestar Charge subscription service is now accessible to Polestar drivers in various European markets, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

With this strategic move, Polestar once again reaffirms its commitment to making electric mobility not only sustainable but also convenient and user-friendly. In the world of electric cars, Polestar shines even brighter.
