On EV Performance, we are committed to keeping you updated about the latest in electric vehicle technology, and the recent unveiling of a limited edition electric mountain bike by Polestar and Allebike certainly caught our attention.
Known for their innovative electric performance SUVs, the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, Polestar has now collaborated with the Swedish high-end bicycle company, Allebike, to co-engineer and co-design their second mountain bike – the Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered.
The electric mountain bike boasts features such as a full suspension and is painted in the Polestar signature Swedish gold. To match the thrilling drive and excellent offroad abilities of Polestar’s SUVs, the Öhlins RXF38 m.2 29 Air Suspension in the bike is specifically tuned. Plus, the rigid carbon fibre-reinforced polymer frame offers a solid and responsive ride, ideal for trail and enduro tracks.
What sets the bike apart is its hardware – a state-of-the-art Shimano EP8 motor, powered by a 750 Wh battery. This adds a powerful boost for uphill rides. Additionally, the electrical dropper post and shifting come as standard, along with the latest tech with Shimano Auto shift.
Truly embodying the essence of an electric mountain bike, this limited edition model in Polestar’s characteristic Space exterior colour has potential to redefine offroad biking experience. At present, the Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered is available in EEA markets, Switzerland and potentially more Polestar markets in the future.
