Unveiled at the IAA 2024, ‘s novel “CustomFit” program and hydrogen fuel cell (FCEV) technology herald a new chapter in commercial vehicle technology, adaptability, and sustainability.

This year’s International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) Transportation 2024 Trade Show in Hanover was the venue for the much-anticipated announcement. As Europe’s largest trade fair for commercial and industrial vehicles, the platform was fitting for the launch of Peugeot’s latest offering.

Peugeot’s “CustomFit” program is a conversion and customisation initiative for current production models. The program, which is gradually being rolled out across production sites, is primarily focused on client customisation, seamlessly integrating technological features with personalised design.

The CustomFit program covers a broad spectrum of professional needs, from tipper vans and cargo space vans to recreational vehicles. Through the program, Peugeot aims to continuously expand its product offerings, working with a global network of partners to deliver custom conversions via its dealership network.

One such example of CustomFit’s potential was the Peugeot E-Expert Fridge with EPTO showcased at the trade show. Designed for transporting fresh products at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C, the van also features an innovative e-cooljet 106 A cooling unit, powered by the vehicle’s traction battery.

Peugeot’s global Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) division is spearheading these developments, underpinning the company’s commitment towards innovative propulsion, safety, ADAS, and connectivity technologies.

Furthermore, the new Peugeot Boxer introduces an advanced 8-speed automatic AT8 transmission, complementing the pre-existing 6-speed manual option. New components, including clutches and a hydraulic accumulator, enhance the driving experience while promoting improved shift times, quality, and control.

The continued focus on hydrogen fuel cell (FCEV) technology further cements Peugeots position in the drive towards zero-emission mobility. Developed by , the technology promises over 500 km of range, refuelling times of just 5 minutes, and no compromise on cargo capacity. It demonstrates PEUGEOT’s commitment to sustainable, accessible, and responsible mobility.
