Who said EVs couldn’t be fun? Certainly not us here at EV Performance, that’s for sure. But there’s no getting away from the fact that there’s still a massive stigma of lack of range, lack of performance, and lack of fun when it comes to electric vehicles and the masses.
That’s why we have to doff our caps to the legends over at Morgan, who have made their signature 3 Wheeler a whole lot more interesting in the EV3 – the firm’s fully electric offering due to be unveiled at Geneva.
Set to potentially hit production soon, the car comes with some headline figures that show how much sense EVs can make in lightweight platforms (well, it certainly works wonders on motorbikes, after all…) Think a weight REDUCTION of over 50kgs from the standard model to just 470kg, thanks to a lightweight battery from Potenza, a still-acceptable 0-60mph sprint of around 8.5 seconds, and a range of up to 150 miles, which should keep the sceptics quiet!
We cannot wait to see it, and more importantly, drive it…
