Model 3 spotted in the wild

It may not actually appear as a production car on roads until as late as 2020, but Tesla hasn’t hung about with testing its highly anticipated Model 3 mid-sized saloon. But with a pre-order list as big as the one this car has received, we’re not surprised the firm is feeling a little pressured to get things right…

Jalopnik reader and California resident Jeff Klaklring spotted this matte black test mule tucked away between a convoy of Model Ss yesterday near the company’s Silicon Valley HQ, before promptly whipping out his phone to get some snaps.

“I stood in line to order a 3 so I was kinda freaked out when I saw it,” confesses EV fan and potential future Model 3 owner, Jeff.

During the two-to-four year wait for the Model 3 to come along, why not read more about the upcoming Model 3 here?
