Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Maybach has just released its first-ever electric SUV, the EQS 680 – a luxurious modification based on the Mercedes EQS SUV introduced in 2022. Known for its plush design, the Maybach EQS SUV embraces the same grandeur inside and out, with the option of the Maybach’s distinctive dual-tone paint on the exterior and an indulgent interior that’s beyond extravagant.

Plush and feature-packed Interiors

Looking inside the Maybach EQS SUV, you’ll find that the rear seats are as top-tier as the front seats with standard heating, ventilation, and massage features that extend to your neck and shoulders. The car comes standard with a rear bench, but for an elevated experience, you can opt for Maybach’s ‘First-Class Rear’ – a pair of aeroplane-style seats with a spacious centre console. The console features heated cup holders, a tablet for rear entertainment control, and a plethora of USB-C plugs and HDMI inputs. Optional extras include a cooler, foldable tables, and silver-plated champagne flutes. The lavish interior is complemented by a ‘4D sound’ system engineered by Burmester, with 15 speakers and two vibrational exciters in each seat.

Quiet Luxury and Unbeatable Comfort

Mercedes has gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure an unsurpassed sense of seclusion in the Maybach EQS SUV. The car uses laminated glass, aerodynamic flicks around the bodywork to manage airflow and reduce noise, specially designed supports for the front axle, and extra rubber mountings for the e-motors.

Performance and Range

The Maybach EQS SUV offers invincible performance for its size, expected to clock 0–62mph in a mere 4.4 seconds. The impressive performance attributes to the 649bhp power produced by the twin e-motors and the 701lb ft of torque available. The SUV comes with an expected WLTP rating of 2.5mpkWh, which according to Mercedes, would allow the vehicle to travel up to 373 miles on a full charge. Charging from 10-80% takes just 31 minutes with a maximum charging speed of 200kW.

Driving Modes and Comfort

In line with other luxurious vehicles, the Maybach EQS SUV offers various driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, and a special Maybach mode designed to maximise rear passenger comfort. The air suspension is configured for exceptional comfort, with an ‘oscillation node’ under the rear seats to ensure an even smoother ride.

For those who place a premium on comfort and are ready to dive into the era of electric mobility, the Maybach EQS SUV is a promising prospect. Its impactful performance, superb range, and impeccable luxury sets a new standard in the world of electric SUVs.
