Will he or won’t he?
It’s a rather confusing time for Felipe Massa at the moment. After seemingly bowing out of F1 on a high at the end of last year, then openly sharing his interest in Formula E, the Brazilian has now gone back on himself to sign up for the 2017 F1 season with his long-standing team, Williams.
Replacing new Mercedes signing Valterri Bottas to remain in the team he’s been with for the last three years, Massa hasn’t let his return to F1 dampen his interest in FE, with Jaguar this week confirming it’s been approached by Mr Massa to try out one of its electric single seater cars in the coming days.
“The chance to experience”
A statement from the team read: “Panasonic Jaguar Racing received a request from Formula E to give Felipe Massa the chance to experience a Formula E car. We are happy to provide this opportunity.”
Currently, the Jaguar FE team is made up of Mitch Evans and Adam Carroll, and with Massa now promising to stay strictly glued to his F1 duties, we don’t think that line-up will change anytime soon. Still, it’s nice to see one of the biggest F1 names so far showing an interest in FE…
