Leading companies join forces to make EV work for your business

Award-winning electric vehicle charging company, Elm EV, has partnered with EV consultancy, Zero Carbon Futures, to promote the mass uptake of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the UK.
EV Works is a partnership between Elm EV and Zero Carbon Futures and aims to support organisations and businesses to roll-out large-scale electric vehicle uptake and charging networks across multiple sites.

The first of its kind in the UK, the partnership will offer a bespoke package of support, covering policy, vehicles and charging, as well as aspects such as, project management, funding applications, marketing and annual maintenance packages. The EV Works solution has been set up to help businesses and organisations demystify the topic of electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging.

Elm EV’s Commercial Director, Dan Martin said: “At Elm EV, we strive to promote the benefits of using electric vehicles within large fleets, helping to create a more sustainable environment to live in. We also endorse the financial benefits of using EV’s.

“We are an independent company, specialising in supplying, installing and maintaining electric vehicle charging infrastructures. Partnering with Zero Carbon Futures enables us to provide organisations with a ‘full package’ of support on electric vehicles.”

Based at the Future Technology Centre in Sunderland and with over nine years’ collective experience, both companies have gained a wealth of knowledge and contacts, partnering with some of the leading names in the EV industry.

Colin Herron, Managing Director, Zero Carbon Futures said: “There are so many natural synergies between our two companies: we both have vast knowledge and connections in the industry as well as practical experience of project managing and delivering electric vehicle projects. We are also completely independent so we can offer impartial advice and recommendations to organisations and companies at the beginning of their EV journey.”

Founded in 2013, Elm EV have installed over 2000 electric vehicle charging stations to homes and businesses in the UK and have installed chargers for clients such as, North East Ambulance Service, Arriva, Manchester University and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The company won two awards in 2015, The Journals North East Small Business of the year and The Sunderland Echo’s, Green Business of the year.

Zero Carbon Futures was set up in 2011 as a not-for-profit, independent consultancy specialising in low carbon vehicle technologies. The company has project managed large-scale charging networks across both North East England and in the UK on behalf of partners such as Nissan, BMW, Renault and VW.
