Joining the ranks of the expanding electric vehicle (EV) line-up by , a sneak-peak of the hatchback has been caught on the road. This future model of the EV series, distinctively different from the well-liked EV3 crossover, is set to make its debut alongside a saloon version with a distinctive design of its own.

Power and Performance of the Kia EV4

Sharing quite a few features with its cousin, the EV3, the hatchback will most likely run on Kia’s e-GMP all-electric platform featuring a 400V electrical system. The battery options are likely to be a match with EV3’s two battery sizes (58.3kWh and 81.4kWh). Riding on the power of a single electric motor with approximately 200bhp, the vehicle also has the potential for dual-motor versions. The similarities extend to the charging capabilities, with the ability to charge from 10-80% in just about 30 minutes.

Design Dynamics: EV3 Vs EV4

While the EV3 and EV4 may be twinning on the performance front, they significantly diverge in terms of design optics. The new EV4 is expected to feature a lower body, sleeker profile and a more raked windscreen angle, elements that provide both style and improved aerodynamics. This hatchback is anticipated to embrace a new take on the ‘starlight’ lighting signature, adding a touch of complexity with a blend of body creases.

The Inside Story – Kia EV4 Interior

In line with other Kia EV models, the interior will likely be adorned with soft-touch fabrics and a clean, straightforward dashboard design. A wide 30-inch panel merging three different touchscreen displays will control the car’s internal environments and tech, marking the marriage of style and convenience.

When Can We Expect to See the Kia EV4?

While it’s still a question whether we’ll catch a glimpse of the hatchback or saloon variant first, 2025 might be the year when Kia unveils another wave of new model launches. With every new release, the competition just gets fiercer and more exciting in the electric vehicle market. Keep your eyes on the road, therein lies the future.
