The race will be hosted at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez – the track that made its comeback during the 2015 Formula 1 season. The drivers will take on the 2.092 kilometre circuit in front of an estimated 40,000 fans; most of which are expected to be in the stadium section. The fifth race of the season is set to house the biggest group of fans so far, as the Mexicans love motorsport and they know how to watch it in style.
The best overtaking spot is said to be in the stadium section. With its slower speed the drivers will have ample opportunity to wow the fans with some overtaking moves.
Lucas Di Grassi recently released to the media that Abt is in the best place it can be for the race, making us believe that it will be on top of or at least fighting with Renault e.Dams – who is currently at the top of the championship – throughout the duration of the weekend. e.Dams is expected to be on top and running at the front once again this time around.
