The short Christmas break is over: on Saturday (February 6), Formula E starts the new motorsport year in Argentina. The fourth of eleven races this season is held in the center of the capital Buenos Aires. DTM Champion Timo Scheider will commentate for Eurosport.
‘Warsteiner Electric Thursday’ sets the mood for race day
Drivers, journalists, sponsors and many other Formula E family members used the ‘Warsteiner Electric Thursday’ to get in the mood for the championship race in Buenos Aires. In the hip Hotel Four Seasons, where the Rolling Stones live while playing several concerts in Argentina, invited the team’s partners to a get-together. The brewery is also one of the official partners of Saturday’s ePrix.
Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt one YouTube
As digital racing series, Formula E also flat out on all social media platforms: the team also produced many video clips in Buenos Aires for the official YouTube channel (fiaformulaE). Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi both played leading roles twice: the two racing drivers competed against one another with radio-controlled cars on a miniature race track and got to know each other even better while playing ‘Knowing me, knowing you’. DTM Champion Timo Scheider as co-commentator on Eurosport
The fourth race of the season starts on Saturday, February 6 at 16:00 local time (20:00 CET) and is broadcast by Eurosport in Germany. Commentator Oliver Sittler will be supported once again by Timo Scheider. The double DTM Champion, who won both his titles in 2008 and 2009 with ABT Sportsline, takes the role of expert commentator. The practice and qualifying sessions are also broadcast on the fee-based player from Eurosport.
DHL Group visits the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport pits
It has already established itself as a popular tradition: on Thursday before the race, DHL invited media representatives and customers to experience Formula E up close. Destination of the international group was the ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport pits, where Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi explained the fascination electric racing series. DHL is one of the German squadÂ’s sponsors and official logistic partner for Formula E.
