On September 7th, 2023, all eyes were on the IAA Mobility event in Munich as Ford pulled the cover off the latest addition to their Mustang Mach-E family, the Mustang Mach-E® Rally. This electrifying new vehicle is the first of its kind, a rally-inspired EV that marries Mustang’s legendary freedom and fun with off-road capabilities.

A Game Changer in Green Motoring
The Mustang Mach-E Rally isn’t just a new model, it represents an entirely new branch in EV technology. This game-changing machine boasts a tuned version of the Mustang Mach-E GT powertrain, with a two-motor layout aiming to output an impressive 880 Nm of torque and 358 kW of power. The vehicle is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a substantial 91 kWh (usable) capacity.
Designed for Adventure
This vehicle is not just a Mustang in name, but also carries the renowned brand’s heritage in its design and performance. The Mustang Mach-E® Rally is equipped with unique suspension that has been raised 20 millimetres over the Mustang Mach‑E GT. With specially tuned springs, MagneRide® shocks, and 385‑millimetre front brake discs with red-painted Brembo®-branded callipers, the vehicle is ready to conquer both city streets and off-road terrains.
Built for the Dirt Roads
The Mustang Mach-E Rally also marks the debut of Ford’s first-ever RallySport Drive Mode, designed specifically for off-road driving. This unique drive mode combined with the new tyres allows the Mustang Mach-E Rally to perform admirably in snow and other slick road conditions. The vehicle is tested in a specially designed rally course at Ford’s Michigan Proving Ground, ensuring it lives up to its design intent.
