In the realm of electric vehicles, the concept of a high-speed supercar usually raises eyebrows, and did just that at the Japan Mobility Show. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled its latest stroke of ingenuity, the ‘Hyper Force Concept,’ easily equatable to an electrified Godzilla.

Unleashing the Electric Monster

The ‘Hyper Force Concept’ epitomises the perfect blend of past and future, marked by characteristics reminiscent of the renowned GT-R and revolutionary electric capabilities. This electric supercar is powered by a solid-state battery, hitherto a concept, capable of producing a staggering 1,000 kW, or 1,341 bhp.

Uniquely, the flawless delivery of this immense power is facilitated by Nissan’s new ‘e-4ORCE’ all-wheel drive technology. Not to forget, the vehicle’s lightweight, angular design pays tribute to the classic GT-R with its quad taillights and boxy silhouette, while also offering high-strength carbon and superior aerodynamic performance developed in collaboration with Nismo.

Streamlined Aerodynamics, Boundless Performance

The ‘Hyper Force Concept’ sports a state-of-the-art body with advanced aero features across its structure. A “two-tiered’ configuration under the bonnet and a rear diffuser optimised for premium airflow contribute to its unprecedented performance. An innovatively-named ‘plasma actuator’ is also included to “suppress air detachment”.

Complementing these features are the lightweight forged carbon wheels that enhance the aerodynamic performance and aid in brake cooling. Nissan has always prided itself on masking the sheer volume of tech beneath its cars, offering a raw ability to dominate the race track. The ‘Hyper Force Concept’ seems poised to uphold that legacy, promising “precise and rapid acceleration” and offering exceptional handling on circuits and winding roads.

The ‘Hyper Force Concept’ at a Glance

Nissan’s electric Godzilla features distinctive driving modes: ‘GT’ mode for a comfortable drive with a simplistic interface, and ‘R’ mode for racing enthusiasts desiring more driver information and increased performance. Additionally, the car is equipped with advanced self-driving capabilities through a suite of sensors and ‘hyper LIDAR.’ As a nod to future concepts, you can play racing games through augmented reality and a VR headset when not on the move.

Nissan envisions the ‘Hyper Force Concept’ as a next-generation all-electric high-performance supercar that combines eco-friendliness, invigorating performance, and advanced safety features. As we welcome back the electric Godzilla, we eagerly anticipate its evolution.

Stay tuned to EV Performance for more updates on the electrifying future of the iconic Nissan GT-R.
