Sir James Dyson’s future-thinking firm, best known for its futuristic vacuum cleaners, could potentially be on the verge of creating an electric car, according to information buried in new government files.
The documents hinted at how up to £174 million could be shelled out to fund Dyson in developing “a new battery electric vehicle at their headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire” [although it appears that this has since been edited out].
So, what can we imagine the Dyson-Mobile to be like? Our minds instantly fall to yellow roller-ball wheels, the screeching sound of a high-revving electric motor, and of course, completely bag-less technology. Hopefully Mr Dyson will do better than that, though…
