Famous Italian designer, Massimo Biancone, has given his artistic touch to a classic Citroën model, resulting in the creation of Citroën Ami Charleston by Biancone. Drawing inspiration from the revered Citroën 2CV Charleston, this special edition quadricycle boasts an identical two-tone Rouge Delage and Noir exterior paired with a subtly revamped interior.
A History Reinvented
The designer has masterfully incorporated elements from the past while tailoring the vehicle to the needs of the present and future. The interior houses a newly positioned central rear-view mirror, sturdy rubber mats, and an easily retractable canvas roof. Other intriguing additions include a light placed under the dashboard and privacy glass substituting standard side and rear windows.

The Ami Charleston retains the original drivetrain of the quadricycle, featuring a 6kW single electric motor, generating eight horsepower, with a maximum speed of 28mph – ideal for a breezy trip into town. This eco-friendly vehicle provides an impressive 46-mile range, fuelled by a 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Alessandro Musumeci, marketing director of Citroën Italy, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, celebrating it as an enhancement of their “non-conformist and accessible mobility solution”. At present, the Ami Charleston can be ordered directly through Biancone’s site, as Citroën does not market this special edition itself. The pricing, yet to be disclosed, is expected to be considerably more than the standard vehicle’s starting price of £7,695.
