Bonkers NextEV hypercar spotted at the ‘Ring

A megawatt of muscle

Say hello to unarguably one of the most exciting cars to hit the Nordschleife’s iconic Tarmac over the past few months: what we believe to be NextEV’s forthcoming 1MW hypercar.

What can we say about it? Well, in case you hadn’t noticed, it looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Seriously, if haters still say EVs are unexciting after seeing this, they really should go and get their heads checked. With Hot Wheels-esque muscular curves, this thing clearly isn’t messing around.

Business plan

Electrek, who sourced the images, says NextEV is likely to be following a similar business model to Tesla and the majority of other start-up EV manufacturers: start with the mental stuff, and use the money and hype from this to put effort into the more mainstream models. We can live with that just fine!

Upcoming announcement

You’re probably familiar with NextEV from Formula E. The firm is backed by Chinese investors, and features a fleet of ex-Tesla employees to help get it up and running. EV Performance is heading to a private announcement from the firm very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Could it have something to do with this beaut? We really, really hope so…
