Berlin ePrix confirmed – new course announced

-

We thought it might have gone for good, but thankfully, the capital of the country that brings us great beer, bratwurst and lederhosen is back on the calendar for an ePrix on 21 May. But this year, the route around this stunning city is like nothing we’ve ever seen before, tearing between two major streets in the city centre like something out of a computer game.

The 2.030km circuit, which remains subject to approval from the Berlin city authorities, and FIA track homologation, will feature 11 turns and wind its way around Strausberger Platz and towards Alexanderplatz with the pitlane on Karl-Marx-Allee. All relevant parties are working hard on the approval of the new location so the event will take place in Berlin in 2016.
