April 2021 marked the first glimpse of Spanish automaker Baltasar’s ambitious electric roadster—the Revolt. Promising 500bhp and a lightweight design, the car was initially slated for delivery in 2022, but delays have pushed its full launch to 2026. Now, to reignite excitement, Baltasar has unveiled a hardcore track-only variant: the Revolt R.
Aerodynamics & Weight: Built for the Track
While the name might lack creativity, the Revolt R’s aerodynamics certainly don’t. The track monster features:
- A massive active rear wing for high-speed stability
- A redesigned front end and aggressive side skirts
- An enormous diffuser for maximum downforce
- A full carbon fibre body over an FIA-compliant steel frame chassis
Weighing just 800kg, the Revolt R is a featherweight in the performance EV world.
High-Tech Suspension & Race-Ready Components
Baltasar hasn’t cut corners on engineering:
- Pushrod suspension with carbon fibre, Kevlar, and aerospace-grade aluminium components
- Magnesium wheels wrapped in slick tyres for maximum grip
- A single carbon race seat, reinforcing its no-compromise track focus
What’s Next?
With homologation in its final stages, the Revolt R is gearing up for a 2026 debut. Could this be the next big name in electric track cars? Stay tuned for updates as Baltasar prepares to unleash its lightweight EV beast.
