Well, we thought he’d hung up his gloves, but it looks like Jarno Trulli will be back on the track for the second race of the 2015-16 season of Formula E, replacing Salvador Duran for the Putrajaya ePrix to race for the team he founded last year.
According to Motorsport.com, Mexican Salvador is set to part ways with the Trulli squad, with Trulli himself to stand in for the Putrajaya weekend, racing alongside fellow Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi.
It’s fair to say Trulli had a pretty tough season last time, and will be hoping to hit the ground running if he’s any chance of beating last season’s overall position of 20th.
The Trulli team has generally been out of luck recently, having patchy testing sessions at best during the Donington Park shakedown days earlier this year, and completely missing the first round of the 2015-16 season in Beijing due to technical issues.
We hope this is a fresh start for the team and that Jarno can turn it around…
