Apple Car: what we know so far

Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that the California-based electronics giant Apple had “several hundred” staffers working on an EV project, sending the internet into a flurry of excitement as everyone discussed what the brand would bring to the future of cars.

Would it be self-drive? Would the stereo only play U2? Reuters has since reported that the brand is said to be recruiting the help of automotive experts from around the globe to assist in the development of a ground-up self-drive car, as opposed to just the software for an already existing car.

Self-drive vehicles seem to be an inevitable step for the motoring industry as driver aids rapidly increase in their effectiveness. Just how and when Apple decides to whip out its latest four-wheeled premium product remains shrouded in secrecy. We’ll bring you the latest as we get it.
