Alpine, the iconic French sports car brand, is preparing to raise the curtain on its A390_β show car on 11th October 2024. The showcase will be an exclusive online event via Alpine’s media website.
The A390_β is touted as the precursor to the company’s much anticipated sport fastback, set to enter production in Dieppe by 2025. With this latest unveiling, Alpine is broadening its exciting 100% electric ‘Dream Garage’, which includes the A290, the much-talked-about hot hatch that hit the market earlier this summer.
Decoding the A390_β Name
In line with Alpine’s established naming tradition, the A390_β involves an ‘A’ followed by three digits. The ‘3’ relates to the vehicle’s dimensions, while ’90’ typifies the brand’s versatile and everyday use vehicles.
World Debut at the Paris Motor Show
Enthusiasts will have the chance to witness the global premiere of the A390_β at the Paris Motor Show, slated from 14 to 20 October 2024. Alpine’s event lineup will also feature the Alpenglow Hy6, the A290, its latest hydrogen-powered prototype, and an array of customised A110 examples.
The Alpine Legacy
Originated by Jean Rédélé in 1955, Alpine has become synonymous with French-style sports cars. The brand successfully reintroduced the classic A110 model in 2018, continuing to uphold Alpine’s enduring principles of compactness, lightness, agility and driving pleasure.
On the back of its historic Dieppe factory’s skill and expertise, the Alpine Business Unit emerged in 2021. It aims at authentic, innovative, and exclusive sports cars within the Renault Group. This proficiency has allowed Alpine to contest in major FIA championships like Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship.
2024 stands out as a pivotal year for Alpine, as it launches its ‘Dream Garage’ with the unveiling of its inaugural electric urban sports car, the A290.
